Born from a collaboration between Italian creativity and Indian heritage, we specialize in sourcing and curating exclusive scents that embody quality, authenticity, and timeless elegance.

GIARDINI DI TOSCANA

Giardini di Toscana is a line of designer perfumes, which is fully established as "niche perfumery".

Our creations always stem from emotions, memories, styles, which arise from pure passion, rather than being deliberately conceived for mere marketing purposes.

Giardini di Toscana is the result of a natural evolution applied to the creativity of a family-run business, the satisfaction of a long brooding desire, the expression of harmony between people who share the same passions, a form of artistic expression that complements other similar expressions.

 

The perfumes originate from many different stories and each creation is absolutely original, peculiar, distinctive and matches unique personalities.

These fragrances draw attention, not because of their intrusiveness or intensity, but thanks to their aesthetic quality and originality, which is why they are suitable for strong personalities, who are not simply trying to conform to current trends.

While conventional perfumery tends to impose the same scent on as many different age groups and styles as possible, in order to achieve turnover targets, the niche strives for offering a different and unique fragrance to each individual personality. Empathy between the perfume and the consumer is absolutely paramount and the assistance provided in finding the right combination is the real added value that guarantees customer loyalty over time.

Therefore, the niche creates innovation and identifies products and fragrances that meet the customer demand regardless of current trends, so as to guarantee a return on the long term. The key word for the Giardini di Toscana line is "eco-luxury": luxury products based on organic and environmentally sustainable ingredients, with a great natural value. Today, the topic of sustainability is so important that it is not only a trend anymore, but a real must.

Translating eco-luxury into a perfume is the real mission for Giardini di Toscana’s fragrances.

The workshop is the place where Silvia Martinelli, among her essences and perfumes, manages to recreate little memories and lock them inside elegant glass bottles.

Every perfume is the story of a memory, a journey, a feeling. The ability to hold this entire universe of suggestions and atmospheres inside a bottle makes the perfumes of Giardini di Toscana priceless.

From her creative genius and in honour of her family's history, Silvia decided to create her own product line, by reproducing her grandfather's ancient recipes and modifying them in the family workshop, in order to enhance their properties and the warm fragrances of the heart of Tuscany.


Silvia finds inspiration for her designer perfumes in her gardens, where smells play an integral part of the whole garden experience: Giardini di Toscana’s essences evoke memories, from childhood to intriguing moments, from the hypnosis of flowers to grandma's biscuits, from school pencils to energising citrus fruits, from the intangible undergrowth to the intense musk.​

Being inebriated by your garden’s fragrances during the day and at night represents a unique experience for your senses and spirit. In Tuscany, the garden is a place where architecture and nature meet, the relationship between human-made work and the soil is the result of an affectionate understanding with a poetic taste. This is the place where, in 1942, the story of an olfactory journey among the fragrances of the most authentic perfumery began.
 

In a picturesque medieval village in the Casentino Valley, in the heart of Tuscany, Silvia's grandparents Giovan Piero and Emma Ducci opened a bottega (small shop), which became the Perfumery, where you can still find the recipe book that the grandfather wrote on his experience as a pharmacist, which then developed into creating fragrances and unguents.


At the beginning of the 60's, the business continued with Silvia's mother Irma who, thanks to her style, turned the original business into a prestigious and elegant shop. ​That is where Silvia was born, the creator-composer of Giardini di Toscana’s designer perfumes, a line conceived as the combination of craftsmanship and innovation, through the use of the most refined raw materials, which are processed by using ancient and fascinating techniques.

DETAILLE

More than 100 years of elegance, sophistication and « avant-garde ». The visionary spirit of the Countess of Presle never stopped inspiring the Maison Detaille since its creation in 1905.

Emblematic figure of the Parisian aristocracy during the extravagant Belle Epoque, the Countess of Presle captivates those around her, princes and princesses, writers, artists, but also politicians and scientists. Aesthete and artist, she married Charles Detaille, brother of the great French painter Edouard Detaille.


From her numerous travels to her socialite life, the singular elegance of the Countess of Presle is also reflected in her passion for motor sport. She was one of the first women to acquire and then drive an automobile. And it is precisely during those exciting rides outside that the Countess of Presle perceived the drying effects of the wind or dust on her skin.
She consequently called upon a famous friend from the scientific world, the French chemist Marcellin Berthelot, to develop THE treatment that would let her travel anytime while keeping her skin beautiful.

The Baume Automobile was born. The Countess of Presle was not long in presenting this new Baume Automobile and others « Préparations de Beauté » (treatments) to her close acquaintances from high society, during worldly salons she hosted at her place, 13 rue Caumartin in Paris. We are in 1905, the Maison Detaille is introduced to the world by the Countess of Presle who will constantly assert her modernist vision of beauty. A « Maison » steeped in Art and History, where the quality of the ingredients, the accurate formulation, and the aesthetic of the perfume bottles have always been part of the tradition of the Haute Parfumerie Française.
Timeless and consistent over time, the Maison Detaille is still offering the iconic Baume Automobile today : its moisturizing and protective biphasic formula keeps seducing women and men all around the world.

Boosted by a growing success, the Countess of Presle finally sets up the Maison Detaille at 10 rue Saint Lazare in the 9th arrondissement of Paris. From Sacha Guitry, to the princely family Thurn and Taxis, to the Indian princess of Kapurthala… the « Préparations de Beauté », from skincare to perfumes, seduce women and men of influence.
And it is still at this same address, that we continue to welcome our clients from all over the world. As if you were experiencing the Paris of the Belle Epoque for the time of your visit. Engraved perfumed glass bottles, order books from the beginning of the 20th century, antique wood trims and yesteryear wall mirrors, but also an original painting by Edouard Detaille… All that presented in a delicately perfumed atmosphere: an unforgettable immersive journey under the mischievous gaze of the Countess of Presle.
From the worldly salons hosted by the Countess of Presle to the Parisian boutique today, the Maison Detaille keeps on seducing women and men from all over the world, highly sensitive to the quality, appreciating beauty and timeless elegance of its "classics" of tomorrow.

Louis Pallier, owner of the Maison Detaille since 1990, aims to elevate and bring the brand to the next level. Guided by the olfactory memory and emotions of his childhood in North Africa and Polynesia, Louis Pallier has been committed to rekindle the Maison Detaille and to reveal year after year, its unique expertise as a creative perfume maker.
True precision work on the ingredients, formulas, textures but also on the brand’s aesthetic universe : still the same requirements and « avant garde » spirit inherited from the Countess of Presle.

The Maison Detaille is today more than ever writing the future of tradition. A decidedly modern approach that Louis Pallier instills in each and every original Préparations de Beauté, but especially in his more recent creations like the exquisite Eaux de Parfum.


From the selection of the finest « Haute Parfumerie » raw materials, to the refinement of the perfumes glass bottles and heavy metal caps, up to the elegance of the cases that unveil the Eaux de Parfum, Louis Pallier places the environment at the heart of his creations by choosing natural and recyclable elements. For the development of the olfactory creations of Maison Detaille, Louis Pallier partners with perfumers recognized for their expertise like Céline Ripert, Anne-Louise Gautier and Eric Fracapane, based in Grasse, the birthplace of the Haute Parfumerie Française.
